 Dr. Alan L. Kimpton
Dr. Kimpton graduated with honors from Pacific University College of Optometry in 1972. His undergraduate work started at Washington State University. After optometry school he joined the medical corps of the United States Army and worked as an eye doctor at Silas B. Hayes Army Hospital in California for 2 Years.
In 1974 he began private practice in Seattle and has been in the Ballard area ever since.
Dr. Kimpton has a general practice with a specialty in contact lenses. He is a member of the American Optometric Association and the Washington Optometric Association. He has held numerous leadership positions including President of the King County Chapter.
He is certified in diagnostic and therapeutic drug use, the treatment of eye disease and pre and post operative care of cataract and laser surgery patients.
Dr. Kimpton is married, has 3 children, and enjoys fishing, traveling, skiing and water sports.
